Thinking about Jobs and this makes me wonder how any one of us will be remembered by...

Why?

- I think he's right about that. You kick ass when you're alive. Doesn't matter what goes one once you dead.WrappedInBooks

depends how, when and where I die. If it were to be right now, probably as the guy who was discussing his own death on an online forum when he ugh, argh..

I think about similar things constantly. Not about how I'm remembered, but just about the whole process. My sister died suddenly in a car wreck 15 years ago; she was the first person in our family to die. Everything was just a blur - if you've been there before your mind is a mess and you're trying to handle funeral details, what clothes to bury them in, where to bury them, how to let people know... it's intense and emotional.
I've been meaning to have a will drawn up for the longest time so I can have that all spelled out to make it easier on my family if something were to happen to me. Like, I'd want the right music played at my funeral. I'd want the things that touched my life to be shared with everyone so they could look back on whatever it was that made me/us happy, and whatever I managed to contribute to their lives, even if it was just a couple of good jokes or something.
We all lose touch with people so easily now. If I died, I'd just want people - whether I knew them well or just in passing - to know that a lot of things had made me happy and touched my life, that there was some good music that went with various moments in my life, and that deep down no matter how stressful or busy we all were happiness and friendship no matter how brief were really the things that mattered most.

I dodged death 2 times, so yeh this sometimes makes me thinkin. I think Id like the next generations to remember me as the happy rich dapper guy who lived in that ghost writer beach house, whose works & world travel so inspiring. Hmm gotta start making works & design my beach house & plan my travel. Wish me luck!
