Interesting. Here's a copyright infringement case re: The Hollywood Reporter ripping off custom code from Deadline Hollywood. The gloves are off:

Doesn't seem like "Hollywood BS." Complaints are voiced on these boards routinely about purloined source code.
- Not so much source code, as creative concepts and artwork.Continuity

@fresnobob
I don't think it really matter who is doing the suing, nor the reporting of it ... the fact is, it's happening, and that really can't be good.
I'm really wondering how far it can go, though. If the basis of their argument is about how CSS classes are named, and the structure of the declarations, properties, etc, does that even hold any water considering CSS is free-for-use technology?
- I think the class names serve as a basis for proving its lifted, rather than copyrighting the names outrightifeltdave

Comparing the side by side images here...
...whatever the outcome, I'm thinking this case will in the very least cause people to be more creative/innovative with their web building, etc. (hint: job creating). Otherwise, everyone cannibalizes/gets cannibalized to the Nth degree, finding ourselves sinking in a code-jacking, "three-step image-altering", creative zombie land ruled by corporate overlords. Yes, a dark and sinister landscape indeed.
