Apparently they make SCSI to USB so that might actually work...
I think the only difficult part would be back saving your files to 1990 formats. If I'm understanding wikipedia, jpgs didnt come out until 1992 and I highly doubt you can save a quicktime back that far.

You could get one of those cheap digital picture frames, some play movie files. Dice it up and mount it.
If you're looking for a more vintage/low-res look, your best bet would probably be to find a way to simply use the "monitor/tube" and just feed the images and movies like you would a projector.

It won't play a movie, but it should be able to display bitmap images.

Can I just open a bitmap image on it? Does it have an image viewer?
