Powerpoint Question

I don't know shit about Powerpoint. Hopefully someone here does. We need to create a looping photo slideshow on one frame and when the person clicks it will start/continue the presentation.
A Ken Burns effect is ideal, but images fading in and out will work too.

maybe just fade in/out 20 or so images until the user clicks...How is this done?

happened to have it open from some deck I was just looking at.
slideshow > transitions > fade.
creating a ken burns style pan/cross fade you could probably just use the slideshow > transitions > animation

I have to convert a powerpoint presentation into print books and "jazz it up" "make it designy" and "tighten up a few things". There is a bunch of embedded low rez images that I know I could replace with high rez images but the account manager doesn't know where he grabbed all these photos from off the server.
Q: Is there a way to find the image names once you place an image in PP so I can search our server for the high rez files?

OK I have another question.

I insert video, it plays fine in powerpoint, but when you view it as a slideshow it does nothing. I've been researching and can't figure it out. Is it a codec problem?
