Dropped D90

My D90's strap came loose while my daughter was using it.
Smash onto concrete. It's amazingly fine though!
Anyway, I reattached the strap and it literally slides off with very little effort and I'm attaching it as seen in the manual (I can't think of any other way to do it anyway)
So, had this actually broken it, would it have been covered by the warranty?

Actually, it happened on our garden and I heard it. It was unmistakable.I'd never heard the sound of a d90 hit concrete before but I knew exactly what the sound was. I was in mild shock for some time.

i can't find anything about the failing strap of a d90. This sounds like operator error to me. If a strap is properly attached, it actually tightens into place as pressure is placed on the strap from the weight of the camera pulling at your neck or shoulder.
i use 2 of these on my 5d, one for both portrait and landscape holding options
might want to look into an aftermarket strap, i've enjoyed my tamrac n-45 padded foam strap.
I've never had one slip like that but have heard of it happening, in fact, a friend took my lens to paris and their strap helped drop my lens on the street. yay

I have the D90 as well and followed the strap fastening instructions using the manuel. The strap is totally secure.
You must've missed a step somewhere
