Stumped on a logo

I'm trying to design a logo for a company called Third Street _____ where "_____" is a "fill in the blank" depending on the division. I'm kinda stumped on ideas (I've made 16 concepts I don't really like so far), anyone have any clever suggestions?

I may be wrong, but it sounds like you are starting with visuals rather than ideas of what the company is about. Have a firm grasp on the direction the company wants to head and you'll have a far better grasp on what direction the visuals should take.
