Hey everyone. I finally had some spare time between projects to begin restructuring and redesigning my website. It has a long way to go still. Wanted to throw it to the wolves here and gather some thoughts.
best,
Greg

Looks good, solid works, too! I‘d reconsider the look of the menue. Those grey 1px borders look kind of flimsy. Why are there rounded corners for the home button and not for the others? also, type needs a bit more tracking, espacially the longer texts in gray, which are hard to read.

Yea -- the borders are also coming up pretty blurry on the iPad due to scaling. And I agree, that any rounding should be consistent.
Are you on a windows box? I've been seeing typekit rendering problems on windows. I really like the font, but may have to replace it if the problem persists...

@pressplay: is that your work on fuklab.org?
- woops, missed the 'about' page. Beautiful stuff.gregorywieber
- yep, thanks, that‘s me and my two partnerspressplay

@adumbratesly: thanks -- yea, I might have to change that font as well. It renders completely different on a mac; crisper, smoother. I'm using typekit to embed, which works beautifully most of the time, but this particular typeface seems to have some rendering problems...

I can't read any of the body copy in that font on FF/XP. I'm not sure it's a great match for the majority of the work, which looks good.
One other thing that struck me is that there's quite a range of different disciplines. Have you thought about grouping apps/technology/graphics/motion and keeping art/photography separate?
- agree - group and seperate.
Also the "blog" section. Is it really a blog???alicetheblue
- agree - group and seperate.

@fax_benson : thanks. Yea, I've been thinking the same thing -- good advice. Too bad about the font; looks like I'll have to find another one that renders better cross-browser.

Nice work, tiny text.

Looks nice.
One thing I found kinda annoying was when I was browsing a photo gallery, I couldn't go back to the photography page without going to the homepage first.

Apps are the only thing that look very professional.
The rest is fine, but doesn't work presented by itself.

questine: cool, thanks. Yea, I might do that, at least until i have time to actually pull together some representative samples -- that section is weak at the moment.

Maybe add a footer, or at least some space to the bottom of the page?
I'm not too keen on having the work butt right up against the bottom.

Seems a little too compartmentalized and complicated for what it is, but I'm just some shmuck that uses c@rgo now.
