I'm using a jQuery cycle in conjunction with an image preloader.
Only problem being that my cycle slideshow starts playing before all the images are preloaded.
How could I go about making the cycle only play once the images are preloaded?
http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/ <cycle
http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorial… <preloaderI've tried setting a delay time for the slideshow but I think the simple fact that the preloader is somehow overriding that. There's still no delay.
Thanks.

fire up the plugin in window load method
$(window).load(function(){
//call the plugin here
});

So load the cycle plugin with this method and it shouldn't start to play until everything has loaded?

Oh, bonus question:
I keep getting errors when I use multiple jquery scripts.
Changing all instances "$" to "jQuery" fixes this problem but isn't there a simple command to do this same thing without having to pad out all of the js with unnecessary stuff?

$(document).ready... kicks in when the DOM is ready (the structure of the document);
$(window).load.... kicks in when all elements are loaded.In regards your bonus question...it will happen when you use different plugins (jquery and scriptacoulus) at the same time, then you have to put jQuery into no-conflict mode (http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.no...
Hard to tell why you're getting errors without the source code.

I think you're right, I remember having to use conflict mode before. I just don't do stuff like this very often at all so it's a matter of forgetting and relearning again.
