If you're a freelancer or a studio owner, then there's no sense in Hackintoshes. Time = Money. No Apple Care = wasted time = wasted money. Time it takes to figure it out, purchase the components, build it = more wasted time.
Do a couple more hours of billable work and you'll make up the price difference. If you're a fulltimer working at someone else's company on someone else's gear, buy an iPad.

i never really understood the whole hackintosh thing.. if you want a mac, buy one.. if you want a PC, buy one..
but building some annoying frankenstein machine that fails everytime that mac does an update (which is pretty much every other week) just seems to be way more effort than its worth.
- you can build a Mac with better specs (minus a few hardware things) for a cheaper pricemonospaced
- and yes mac's are more expensive.. but you work it out.. you make the one you have last longer until you can afford a new oneautoflavour
- I thought they were better with updates these days.monospaced
- meh.. cheaper price.. not a compelling argument.. i can fuck a junkie for $25.. doesnt mean its the same as a $600 oneautoflavour
- call girl.. same result, not as pleasurable thoautoflavour
- it's waay cheaper. and difficulty depends on your skill level, of course. i wouldn't recommend my mom build onescarabin
