Seeing this everywhere now, w/, w/o, w/a. What's the deal with this and why so popular, when did it become so common? Why are the humans typing like robot monkeys? Oh, and it's so ungoogleable.

I think mimicking behavior is hard wired in our brains as part of our survival instincts. Young animals mimic their parents such as hunting skills so they can learn the ways of surviving. Another reason why the media has a strong influence in our behaviors.

Perhaps it's not humans? Perhaps it's robots?

Hmm... I've had the last thirty seconds to think about this, and I reckon instead of saying "Ooh Ahh!'', robot monkeys would say "Ooh Whun!".
