For some reason my payment for my internet access did not go through this month and Virgin have closed down all access to broadband and emails. They say it will take at least 24 hours to get back online, but get this, there email service is with Google Gmail and even that has been closed down with no access. This bloody company makes me sick, one late payment in 2 years and your treated like a peace of shit.

They are indeed a useless bunch of cunts. My sympathies old chap.

No shit? Virgin's internet service is consumer bullshit for proles who don't really use the internet much. I bought into their whole 'mega fast uber service' years back, but quickly realised how much total bullshit it is. The only avenue then to make an official complaint was to send a goddamned letter ā like, a paper one. In the 21st Century.
Do yourself a favour and go with a vaguely real internet company like Be, rather than merely brand-packaged Virgin schlock.
- +1 on Be, I had their broadband in my last house and it was greatrascuache

I remember my virgin cable wasn't working for a few days so I rang them up and told them and basically got the response that it all looked fine on their end so I must be imagining it...

It irritates me so much seeing how much brand exposure that flop-haired fuck gets ā like he's the saving grace of modern British industry. All that fucker does is jump on to other people's hard work, then brands the shit out of it.

^ Totally agree, watching the london marathon with that shitty logo shown at least 10 times in every single frame was almost sickening.

They're shite in Australia too... no infrastructure of their own, they just re-sell access to another company's network. Find a loophole, cancel your contract, and go with a better if not marginally more expensive provider.

Rant an email to this guy... CEO of Virgin Media.
neil.berkett@virginmedia.co.ukI've always emailed direct to CEO's (BA, Vodafone etc) and have been amazed at how quickly I receive responses getting my/their problems fixed.

I would also strongly recommend ranting on twitter, you'd be amazed at how effective this can be with big companies like Virgin Media.

I think you right about going with some other company. What makes me laugh is that Virgin are using what is a free email service, but can still close down your bloody email access.

Utter fucking scum.
Claimed I owed them money for my NTL account which I cancelled 2 years earlier and were threatening to send bailiffs round. Two minutes on the phone and then they said "Oh sorry no you don't owe us anything, we have two databases and it's a mess"Fuck Virgin, Fuck Virgin Media. Boycotted for life and I'll bring this shit up every time they're mentioned.

We all need to fucking riot Virgin Media, hahahaha

I remember having a fast connection with Virgin but useless customer service.
Went a month without internet a few years back when they were having problems/upgrading certain postcodes in SE London, and they wouldn't reimburse us for pretty much a solid month of no net.
- orrinward0
They were giving some bullshit excuse about 'reasonable downtime', but their automated call message had been changed to 'Expect no internet in this postcode'.
