hover.com seem to be cool but they charge $15 and whois guard is free. Dreamhost also does whois for free.

1. Unlock domain on Godaddy
2. Initiate transfer from new registrar
3. Confirm all emails sent to registrant email

I did. But I never liked godaddy in the first place. Hate their site and spamming techniques. So fuck'em.
It as simple as, "Why do I have my domains on a cluttered spamming site, that has a fucktwat CEO who shoots elephants, when there are sites that offer me whois guard free for a year, doesn't spam me and have a good control panel experience?"

Have you actually moved to another registrar because of the elephant thing we barely know details about?

Make sure you unlock the Private Registration Services. This delayed our last transfer by a week (GoDaddy's tech support forgot to mention that until the transfer was first declined).

I did last week. moved to namecheap, mainly because they had a campaign with elephant preservation donations (though i got late to the party), but the transition process was rather smooth.
Don't know if namecheap was a solid option, but I'm liking them, all their control panel is very clean, no Godaddy bullshit selling in every corner.
