Hey QBN, help needed :(
.
Is it somehow possible to control the size of the standalone flash player in AS 2.0 ?
.
I`m making a presentation for an LCD panel in a store and the flash player shows white space on the left & right side of the presentation. Need to get rid of it :(
.
any help appreciated, getting desperate :-/

Make a background movieclip, and set the size to the stage width and height.

fscommand{"fullscreen")
i think..not sure if this still works.

ideaist> no HTML will be used, just an .exe of the flash animation
pinkfloyd> yep, have it, still the same :-/

old-school HTML.... something kludgy like... due to IE and other browsers = double-code-o-rama....
body marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 topmargin=0 leftmargin=0

pretty hacky but if your desperate why don't you create an inverse mask (a graphic with a hole in it the size of your stage)
mask.swapDepths( this.getNextHigestDepth() );
or just a graphic the same size as your stage to mask the content?
mask.swapDepths( this.getNextHigestDepth() );
maincontent.setMask(mask);

Problem: made an animation, exported it as an .exe file. Opened the .exe file, white borders showed up on both sides.
.
Soluton: In the standalone player > View > 100%. I accindentaly switched it to "Show all".I need a vacation really bad. Sorry guys, thanks pinkfloyd and all willing to help, owe you one ;)

i was going to suggest crtl/cmd + F (full screen) in Flash player. I never noticed it in the menu, but seems to work and has helped me in the past.
