Hi all. My better half is talking to a company out there. Never been there. Anyone live in the area? How do you like it? I've heard good things about Portland.

I've been there to visit. Great place. Pros: no sales tax, and they pump your gas, and its really green and pretty. Cons: depending on where you are coming from, might be too different. Lots of "granola" types, semi-liberal if you are into that, etc.

Only visited once but loved it. The architecture the people, the food, the little lefty trams that take you to the airport for $5, the arty district. Probably my favorite US city.
