I only have a download data cap on the iPhone which is 200 megabytes, it's still a flat rate if I go beyond the 200 MB I don't pay any extra but the speed goes from 3G to 64 kbps which is shit but no extra fees.
If I pay a little more I'd get 1000 MB a month and if I pass that the speed goes down to a more acceptable 128 kbps.
