for years i've always done cmd r to get the rulers up then roll over the rulers - you can then tab the menus back. but thats a better way!

Different, but related: It took me YEARS to discover why my brush cursors would be crosshairs instead of outlines... caps lock.

BTW - you can go Windows -> Tools and sort it out, but it's rather unpractical...

This is something that happens to me all the time when working on PS on my MBP.
a- I select the Text tool...
b - I hit the Tab Key to get rid of all panels and have a clear view
c - I draw my textarea and enter some text
d - I'm fucked / can't get the panels back on screen, as hitting the Tab Key means adding space on the text area... There's no way to get the panels back to be able to change the tool!!! Pressing the "v" key would only add more letters in the textarea...Urgh.....!!!!!
