Hi's !
I have an old flash movie that is scripted in AS2, but the client now needs to it be uploaded to youtube.
What's the best converter/capture app anyone has used ?
The actual movement and progressions of the movie are all scripted, so I can't export as MOV I don't think. Moyea doesn't seem to describe that it can do this, but I'm sure, from my Flash days that there were such utilities. Thanks, each.

Can u use snapzpro to screencapture it?

You're right, as2 will not hold functions when exporting as video. I recommend running the SWF and doing a screen captured. Screenflow works well for me, it's software that allows full screen capture for long periods of time. It also gives you a ton of editable features once in the app.

I believe that with CS4 and above you can export from Flash to a .mov. You have to be sure to set a value in the Stop exporting after time elapsed, or it doesn't work.
- I think it's related to the AS version rather than the CS version, needing AS3whiteout

ah, Windows here, I'm afraid. Screenflow and Snapzpro look great, but anything that can do great quality for win ?

export as movie, make sure the framecount matches the framecount on the movie.

I'm on Mac but when I was on PC I used Adshareit's SWF to Video convertor to create all the clips in my 2006 reel. It doesn't get any better than this software. It'll spit out a 2GB uncompressed AVI with sound at any frame rate and record every interaction (without the mouse cursor though. And, it's cheap.

(Their website looks like shit but their product is awesome)Camtasia and Snapz is okay but don't bet on it capturing a higher frame rate SWF or anything complex.

Bah :(, no nothing seems to be able to straight convert - I'll have to try a genuine screen-capture - anything out there that could do decent size/frame rate ? Ideally I'd like an uncompressed full size capture that I can then recompress. : /
