I'm a big fan of this rivalry, the games are always a ton of fun to watch. both teams give it their all.
Mexico has smashed on the US in the last couple games and i think that's going to continue, Mexico has way better players... not so sure about the new coach though.
I do know this, Hernandez is gonna get all up in that ass when he has his fist game against the US, count on that.
this is from the last world cup qualifier they played against each other. the crowd goes wild.

Although I will say this, I don't like when the fans get all violent n shit. no point in that. That kinda thing is bad for everyone.

Except your forgetting about the WC 2002...
2002 World Cup Cycle
The United States won the 2002 Gold Cup to set up the team's best performance since 1930 in the 2002 World Cup, where the U.S. team reached the quarterfinals. The team reached the knockout stage after a 1–1–1 record in the group stage. It started with a surprising 3–2 win over Portugal, followed by a 1–1 tie with co-host and eventual fourth place finisher, South Korea. It then lost its third and final match 3–1 to Poland but still qualified for the second round when Park Ji-Sung of South Korea stunned Portugal with the eventual game winning goal. This set the stage for a Second Round face-off with familiar continental rivals Mexico. Although the teams had played many times in both friendlies and in qualifying, they had never met in the World Cup. The U.S. would win the game 2-0.

Don't forget, when the US goes down or if MX is playing against someone else, I always root for MX or any new world team for that matter. Like to rub it in the face of the Euro's, Africans and Asians!
HAHAHA ;)

I don't worry about playing in Mexico City for the US team, I worry about places like Columbia and fucking shitville Belize and shit. hehe ;)

What's fascinating about this rivalry is the extent of the social ties between the two countries. Not the case with any other epic rivalries I can think of.
Should be an interesting movie.

I used to go to this Chicano joint near my house. Awesome, I'd watch the MX versus US, they were cool as shit, we'd do shots of Patron everytime there was a yellow card.
OUCH!

Over the years USA has converted the Irish, Germans, Italians, Poles etc and made them their own, but Mexicans are the only people who resist this and follow their cultural intertia. Millions of mexicans will over-flood the south of USA -- it is their continent and they are practically its ingenious people
And the sooner, the better, btw- Most Mexicans I know have assimilated just like all those other nationalities you mentioned.monoblanco
- I say its mixed. depends on the area you live... Most I know have not...sofakingbanned
