it's pretty good, but what's with the massive drop shadow on the images?
- the sheer grandness of their work casts a large shadow...

I am with the 'meh' crowd. Scrolling barely works (far too slow to use my mouse wheel).
No transitions (should have used Flash ;-) )
Just kinda, well, there. Nothing inspiring me to look twice, nothing interesting about the functionality (really pretty boring, kinda like a site prior to really well designed functional Flash sites).
Oh, wait, maybe there are supposed to be transitions, they just don't work well...? That would be worse.
An improvement over their previous site, though, which wasn't good (imho).
I really hope this massive abandonment of Flash based sites doesn't put sites back a decade (what I have seen with html5 so far). This site seems like a draft version of the sites below.
Reminds me of these:
http://spin.co.uk/ (which, imho again, is a superb site and great example of making something functional and sexy)
www.bartleboglehegarty.com (another superb site, scrolling work flawlessly, very engaging)
http://www.fborn.com (again, superb site, scrolling works really well, very sexy)

Kind of reminds of Google Image search...

I liked it at first sight, but...
• there are dead links
• the animations could be smoother
• is this me, or does their interactive section's content look a bit like those design books on webdesign trends from 1998?- Case in point:
http://www.swarthmor…raf - In your case in point. I bet the faculty/marketing dept was highly conservative.********
- There are more examples there. My point is, if web work looks this dated, why showcase it?raf

Better than before. Its more easier to use portfolio. Esp with Eddie Opera at NY office and stuff, I expected a bit more.

Holy crap this thing is buggy as heck.

If you scroll and use the <2 of 9> arrows to move, the viewing area is misaligned. Scrolling not synced with the arrows.

now don't be ripping this off, you hear!

Didn't they bother to test on iPad? Site is a mess over here. Subnav all over the place, literally. The arrows for the drop downs next to the logo are overlapping the text (REALLY bad). Dropdowns just arent working properly either, they're working about 40% of the time. Its taking like four clicks for it to appear. Profile pics in About section are getting covered slightly by a semi transparent white bar. Logo antialiasing needs to get fixed. Transitions are choppy but I'd blame that on the hardware. I also feel like the transitions are kinda cheesy, almost like they're just for html5's sake. Personally, I dig the minimalism of the design but the cheesy transitions spoil everything else. I've always digged their work, this just isn't up to par.
