sorry... I'll now take a look at your site and comment appropriately - I was just taken back that this wasn't spam :)

It's no myspace, but really nice work.

Very nice folio, man... really good stuff - only thing I may do (maybe) would be to trim back some of the ikea comps (which are hot)... there's just too many of them compared to the rest of your folio...
... I'm going to steal your sponge bob stuff and put it in my folio now - just because :)
- Yeah I am in the process of redoing everything. This is more of a dumping ground.rson

I think the work is really good. I also think the vertical scroll is too long - maybe too much work?
What did you write in Philly???

Hi Ron,
Some really strong portfolio pieces. However, the landing page/website does not exactly feel like an "interactive directors'" website. If your intention is that you are trying to stay minimalistic in your design approach to your online portfolio, perhaps you should use one of these themes: http://wpshower.com instead of your current landing page, just my 2 cents...
- Agreed! Yes this thread was more of a joke. The site is more then 5 years old now.rson

Some nice work in there, but (imho) it's a terribly scrappy site.
I love minimal, I love lo-fi — but given that you're, presumably, appealing to the greater design community, I think taking a leaf out of Ikea's book and going with vanilla Verdana was a mistake. It may well be ok for the world at large, where people don't really care about such things - but to potential employers?
Also, there feels like quite a wide gulf between the quality of the work for your site itself and some of the projects at the foot of the page — and then to Ikea &c. It makes me wonder at what exactly your role was as 'art director'. Makes me suspicious that you're perhaps better at managing people or at using other people's creative assets than developing the work yourself.
'hello, my name is ron' text is .. messy and visually unappealing (well-written though!). in fact, typography overall feels totally careless.
'the entrepuneur superstore'?
Perhaps some kind of indicator for 'concepts' to inform me that I'm about to hit a password-protected area?
Why does the menu widget stop following me, around half way down the page?

Put some padding in there, it's really shoved up to the left.
