Looks fantastic, very nice. Gotta love android.
Best of all google seem to be developing their own style, which they haven't done so much in the past.
- Eh? Not sure I believe that assertion at all.detritus
- It really doesn't look that different to anything else that's going on at the momentAncillary
- My point Is that it cleary doesn't look anything like an ipad. It just doesn't. Which is nice.Hombre_Lobo

I'm a big Android fan and not that impressed. It looks like they've improved the capabilities of it for tablets but there's nothing here that's mindblowing, just some optimized apps for Youtube and eBooks.
The widget customisation is a bit snazzy looking but nothing exceptional. It just makes use of having more space.

looks better than the current android tablets, but not as clean as an ipad yet. Although it looks clean enough to make me second guess the notion that android tablets weren't worth looking into. I wonder what apple has in store for the ipad 2...if anything.
- We can safely assume Apple probably has a lot more than nothing in store for the next iPadmonospaced
- Like a USB slot? Sd card perhaps? Good old apple.Hombre_Lobo
- Yeah, hold off on basic features and then when they finally relent, fan boys cry like it's the second coming.ETM

When people say "its not very groundbreaking" and appear unimpressed, what do you expect?
Its a touch screen interface originally designed for a phone that has been optimised and tweaked to be used with tablets...of course its not gonna be ground breaking, its pretty much already on phones.
When the ipad came out it was far from ground breaking, it was simply a giant iphone that doesnt make calls! but thats what makes it great, it was already very good, much like android already is very good.
- I am very underwhelmed by my ipad. It collects dust when I am not using it to surf on the toilettgqt

Droid is the real deal , especially for developers , dont be such fan boys and see it as another platform to be on or put a product on it

Is Droid really the real deal? Where's the realness coming from? Does Droid know what it's like to grow up in the projects?

Its gotta be hard to develop an OS when the screen sizes vary greatly between hardware manufactures. This is where iOS holds the advantage. They can account for the very last pixel.
On side note , looking forward to testing my flash liquid layouts in full screen mode with the larger tablets.
- it's a bit more challenging yeah but nothing we haven't done on Windows/OSX app development.Boz
- yeh like boz said, the frag mentation thing is not that big a deal, pcs have had that problem and dealt with it fine.Hombre_Lobo
- the android SDK handles diff devices nicely with 3 diff directoriesBattleAxe
