If you're down for participating, link to some recent work and let us know what you can bring to the table to contribute. My guess is we'll have a lot of overlap with people's skills, and one of the major hurdles up front will be figuring out how to involve everyone as efficiently as possible.
Speaking of, if anyone wants to helm some kind of producer or PM role, now's the time to step up.
- I hate doing PM when I'm paid to do it let alone for freeKidswift

What? Is this an interview?

Sounds like trying to get a project done for free! FOR FREE!!
- ifeltdave0
^ yes for free! I am actually a corporation trying to put together a piece for a client and need you lowly designers to help me get it done.
that or i'm all boned up for a better tomorrow.. take your pick

My posts to date on this thread have been of the negative variety. Allow me to perhaps qualify why this has been and attempt to build rather than destroy.
+ You got a heart kid I will give you that, but this place has tried and failed to collaborate together. Look at earlier posts for examples of these. I'm sure on the odd occasion its worked too. Hell we managed to put on a charity rock gig with peeps from here years ago.
+ My point is that I doubt from your response so far this will morph into something very real, unless you come up with a great idea that you will do regardless (preferably with people you know from the real world) then just use QBN as one of many streams to gather participants.
+ I would try and find something among your mates or network meets a common need or shares an interest. Why does it even have to be a digital piece? Hell go build an orphanage made of sock puppets or paint the grass at your local school purple. You will get faster satisfaction if you try and do something tangible and within your proximity of impact.
The alternative is you will get tired and demotivated bumping this thread till infinity.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.
- its worth a shot, if theres not enough interest i'll be moving on. i do these projects every new year or soifeltdave

"or i'm all boned up for a better tomorrow"
What does this mean?
- epigraph0
I think the books never pan out because people loose interest waiting for them. By the time it gets to you you have moved on to other stuff, and it sits around neglected.
A collab project that would allow everyone to work at once would prob pan out best.

How about just a crowd source it for $1000
- kingman0
dude, this place is full of frustrated, angry peeps. they are no good to you. keep your collaboration to one other person - preferably a friend in the industry. too many cooks and all that.

the QBN graf wall was fun while it lasted. that really was like realtime creative collab. Just bump that again or start another one.

Aye, Kidswift et al are right. Don't (imo, obviously) put a mass call out for collaboration on this or any other board — it's too easy to say 'Yes!' for some, and it's too good an opportunity for even the best-intentioned to fuck it up and show up how flaky they can be.
Better to pay attention to those whose skills or abilities fit in with what you might hope to be part of, then broach the subject directly with them, away from peering eyes.
You've got to be the main driver though — hoomz is lazy.
Best of luck!
