Client asks me to do work for them this week?

I don't think there is anything crazy about a client asking for work to get done this week. You can always say "no thanks I'm on vacation". They'll either find someone else to do it or feel that it is not high priority enough to need the attention and wait until you are free.
I've informed my clients that I will be available if they need me. I have a few on going projects that will require some attention but I have to admit I'm slacking a bit and kind of regret not "officially" taking time for myself.
Conversely one of my colleagues has informed his clients that he is taking the week off completely and will not be in contact.
Either way our different approaches to this week are up to us not the client.

I'm at work.
It's great... not much to do, so I can get on with all sorts of stuff. No one here so leave when I want.
Why take holiday now when it's a holiday anyway??

perhaps i've been reading this wrong... do you mean that someone just asked you to work and you dont want to?
or are you saying that a client of you company is asking you to do work for them and you're worried about the boss man finding out?
