LOL at thinking you have the freedom of speech.. go and start talking about something that will hurt someone with money and see how fast you'll get destroyed..
You live in illusion that you have any rights or freedom of speech.. sure, you have them, as long they don't affect someone with money.
Plus you have less and less rights.. Patriot Act and all this terrorist shit is what they've done deliberately to make sure they have even more control over you and can take you in the slammer.
They can wiretap you, they can arrest you and hold you without giving you any explanation. It's like gestapo shit.

Mr_Fantastic.. I lived in communism, I lived in capitalism.. I know very well (quite possibly much better than you) what the world looked like before..
But the point here is hypocrisy..the illlusion that a few decades after capitalism, when society should be better..it's not..
Western countries have been much much more open, people had more rights, people were more educated, consumerism wasn't the only measure of a society.. Now it is..
Instead of going forward, we are going backward for the benefit of a few and they are still selling it to us as democracy and freedom is better than ever.
