Yeh. Suing isn't going to work as they have their own law firms and you'll get something a little less impressive. You should have caused as scene verbally, proclaiming your innocence in the situation in good ear shot of other public and waited for the police. Never throw a punch and never swear. Then they all end up losing their 'bouncer' licences for being violent and overreacting and you go on your merry way skipping home knowing this Christmas they won't be eating Turkey.

one more reason to hate vegas and NEVER go into those "free" clubs. not sure why people wait in those long ass lines in the first place.
oh and btw... i'm leaving for vegas in a few hours. no joke! lolz!

Self-defense is only good when your life is being threatened, and when you actually know how to defend yourself. If your life isn't on the line, it's a tough sell in a courtroom that you were acting in self-defense.
Also, unless you know what you're doing, don't try to stand and fight against a bouncer. They are usually either trained fighters, or just huge dudes on steroids. Ironically, it's the bouncers who've had proper training that would never let this situation happen, so my guess is you were dealing with roided-out meatheads.

Had my eye socket and cheek bone shattered by a bunch of doormen in my home town (just a small late night town bar). Couldn't do a damn thing about it, no witnesses cared enough to come forward and the camera footage went missing.
I must admit i was "breaking the rules" by having a (normal) cigarette in the entrance. But talk about excessive force, i had 2 of them push me to the floor and stamp on my stomach and face!
Moral(s) of the story:
1, Don't be a cocky twat and spark up a fag inside a club/pub in the UK.... lol :/
2, Some times, like in every other walk of life doormen are angry psycho cunts. (you WERE luck to walk out of there)
3, If you do attempt to sue, it is likely that all evidence will go missing.

I read your story and here is my opinion(s).
- Do you know exactly why they had a roped off section ?
- You were being played. Those bouncers dont make shit and they were gonna scam you outta of money or try to sue you for a lot of money. Maybe.
- They are trying to keep you in line when you are there considering you payed a shit load of money to get in they want to dig in your pockets also.Learn some martial arts then you could respectfully decline there advances. :)
Sometimes going to really trendy places are stomping grounds for the con.
What do you expect? Your in Vegas. "Drugs un", prostitution etc are legal so of course they are going to crack skulls there.
Consider yourself lucky and you weren't in El Segundo and you lost your wallet.
I love hearing stories of people who got conned out of money or detained in Vegas, Tijuana and El Segundo. Come on!
