some of what i've seen. not "riots" as in "people burning banks" so much as "police attacking people."
i have been out photographing a handful of nights so far and have been gassed, shot and swung at by police (all in portland).
the social definition of a riot somehow constituting a corporate building on fire from a minor act of vandalism infuriates me. the police have been instigating far worse violence against actual people every fucking night.

- Good on you documenting this. The world will remember these times.ben_
- so you chose to go all criminal and surprised at how you are greeted? and if that building was your home would you feel different?********
- @deathboy nothing is criminal about people occupying public spaces. federal buildings are our property anyway.colin_s

- are they really our spaces. shared space comes with rules from management. i protest daily taking a dog off leash where it says leashs mandatory.********
- if i get a ticket. i get it. but you never answered how you might feel if it was your property********
- think everyone about the CAUSE forget the bodies they step on.********
- hell chicago just saw its deadliest day with cops worrying about rioters. all for what?********
