Tap water or bottled water?
I'm hearing that the fluoridation of public drinking water is unhealthy, archaic, and expensive. And worst of all, it's just us stupid Americans who do it. Also, pharmaceuticals and toxins are being found in many states' water supplies. So I then find out that my town's water quality is below average as well!
Does anyone drink tap water, and if so, where are you from?
Do I need to start drinking Fiji water exclusively?! There goes my money.

it's a good debate.

Get a Brita filter, if you're scared of fluoridation

- Brita is a hot filter.randommail
- Brita doesn't remove flouride. NO store products remove fluoride. Only water that comes straight from the ground.VikingKingEleven

tap water in germany is of very good quality overall. But I am amazed how different it tastes from region to region... here in berlin it tastes awful so I rarely drink it but when I visit my parents in the countryside, the water is awesome, very pure...

^ The same here in the Basque Country. I live in a rural small town and i also can drink on a plenty of natural fountains around here, all of them secured by regular chemical tests...

Get a filter fitted to your tap, they remove a lot more shit that a Brita, no need to keep refilling and you don't get ripped-off buying the filters. Bottled water is a bit of a nonsense.

we used to have one of those sink britas when I lived in manhattan and that thing would slow to a drip in like 5 days. kinda freaked me out. nyc is supposed to have good tap water though. but nothing tastes as good as the artesian well I grew up with in the sticks of new hampshire.

In October 2010, Norwegian television station TV 2 showed a documentary film highlighting that the water bottled by Voss is tap water from the municipal water supply in Iveland. TV 2 also claimed to prove that the water source was not, in fact, artesian, as Voss water's marketing claims. The Voss water website claims that the water source is "protected from pollutants by layers of rock and ice". There is in fact no permanent ice in the vicinity of the water source. Voss water responded with a statement on its website challenging TV 2's claims. The company also employed a high-profile Norwegian solicitor to consider legal action against TV 2. The TV channel in turn responded that they stood by all the statements in the film.

Here, in Bulgaria, tap is just fine. But I often go and fill in my own spring water from mountains which is lighter-tasting, also mineral water from a place near by (40km far), which is also good but a bit heavy. We have many natural mineral and mountain water springs. And from time to time I switch to some other bottled mineral water from other places. It isn't good to drink just one kind of water.

Beer is 85% water. So I guess I drink beer-water.
Seriously, I drink tap water from a Brita pitcher. When you think about how many people on this planet don't have ANY water to drink, I'll deal with a little flouride.

I live in a very rural area outside of Metro-Detroit and all we have available to us is well-water. Because the water is so full of minerals, which we then treat with salt-softener, we have to use osmosis purification in order to have drinkable water at our house.
Although the process of osmosis purification strips the water of some of it's nutritional benefits (ok, a lot of them) this water is by far the best water I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
