Hiya QBN!
So my mate is getting a games console or her family. She wants it to be fun for herself and her husband (less important) and her kids who are 5 and 8.
Which is best for that kind of family gaming?
I'm think the wii, but it's quite outdated and the kinect might be more future proof.
I kinda write off the ps3 move as I find ps3 gamers are more hardcore less young kids / family orientated.
Hope you can help.

from what i've read, the physics on the move is the best, the other two are too buggy and inaccurate.

I played a few Kinect games recently and was impressed with the over all accuracy. There were times playing Soccer when I reacted quicker than what the game could reflect, so I had to slow myself down to do certain things at times. It was pretty fun tho. And the best part as not having to hold any controllers.

I would suggest Wii, but the kids will want the latest big thing in the media I would expect. They'll probably want the Kinect as it's all over tv at the moment.

games are the only thing 5 and 8 yr olds talk about. im sure they'll supply all the info she needs.

I really love my Kinect. They need to get more games for it though.
Wii for all the mario games.

I have a wii and kinect, couldn't see the point in purchasing the playstation move however.
I would definitely say that kinect is better, much more fun to use and generally a good laugh. However there are more games for the wii, but give it time and kinect will probably catch up.

Thanks all very helpful :)

@aanderton,
good to get info from someone who has both. Yeh im hoping the kinect will release more games and with microsoft backing it, its almost for certain it will get big and do well.
Have you found your kinect unresponsive / slow at all like some people say?
thanks mate :)

also, feel free to recommend the games you love for the said console.

i have all 3 game systems, but i will not buy a move or a kinect any time soon.
wii is waaay more kid and family friendly.
move will have better graphics but, like you said will probably be more hardcore. however, if they don't have the system yet, a ps3 has the added bonus of bluray.
kinect is super lame right now. it only has like 2 decent games.
i'd say go for the wii

if you get a move or kinect make sure you have a livingroom with lots of space, they're finnicky about your setup

The wii plus "sports resort" pack is way better than the old sports one.
