From his bio:
"Goodall was at the forefront of the reinvention and rejuvenation of illustration in the late nineties and helped pave the way for the huge resurgence of the medium that we have witnessed in the last ten years."Really?
- It wasn't just Jasper but there was a resurgence in the late 90's, especially from an editorial point of viewgoldieboy

I was at a conference where jasper goodall was a speaker - and it was like he took his 1 hour as a chance to basically bitch about all his various past clients whilst showing us a slideshow of his work which was basically only ass & tits. There was absolutely nothing to be taken away from his talk other than to not do that should you ever be in the same position..
The guys got talent, no doubt about that - but he seems like a bit of a fuckhead.

Known to a wider audience? Like people have to know their names...?
David Shrigley as per liveforever's suggestion.
Tom Gauld's work appears in the Guardian/Observer.
Anthony Burrill?
That dude who draws 'You Are The Ref', Paul Trevillion...? ha ha.
Chris Riddell? Draws for the Observer Magazine and illustrates those popular Ottoline children's books...(but it's more satirical caricature, rather than graphic).
Peter Blake?

Which illustrators do you think could be known to a wider audience other than designers? I am thinking of names such as Quinten Blake, Ralph Steadman.

I suppose im looking for a graphic style. Stanley Donwood springs to mind. Although I am not looking for people who are mainly known for their work with bands.
I have been asked to research this as it may lead to someone being commissioned for a project we are doing.
