I feel like we had a thread about this at some point in the past, but does anyone have any good pictures of your own, or really nice desk setups for music recording?
I'm thinking about using a simple wall mounted shelf from ikea to hold monitor, laptop, and speakers, and keeping it just high enough off the desk to slide my midi controller and Alesis micron underneath it. to make more of the desk surface accessable

whatever you get you want the speakers to be ear level otherwise it throws off the high end response.

by speakers, he meant monitors because speakers won't be up to the task. event 20/20 ftw

monitors against a wall is bad, but if you don't have the space I suppose there's no choice. I'll try to locate pics of my old studio, I had the midi stuff on the desktop and an articulated tray with the keyboard and mouse attached to the bottom of the desk.

I know what you mean. You might want to check here: http://www.pssl.com/ under Studio Furniture (I think it's labeled)
