I'm heading down there for the first time in two weeks with the Mrs.
Anyone been there before that can recommend some good stuff to do?

i've spent tons of time there.
best part is when they use the military to clear the monkeys off the runway for the plane to take off.
there's a little town called punta gorda in the south, close to the guatemala border. not very touristy- but a great spot. can get out to the islands easily for there. always local soccer matches on.
i think there's only 2 hotels there and perhaps 3 places to eat- but i've spent weeks at a time there without wanting to leave.

Visit the Harrier VTOL bases in the area, in past are used to antidrug war. I didn´t know if them are there still now

there is also blue creek- look it up. rope swing into a trout filled creek. if you follow the water upstream there is a cave that you can dive into. it's about a 12 ft dive, but once your on the other side you're good for a bit before you go under again. beautiful.

You might wanna look up something called Hurricane Richard. He is visiting Belize right now.
