Its so hard though, how can we believe even these wikileaks documents?
i mean who can dis-prove the information in there with most of the actions within these wikileaks are carried out in complete secrecy. Evidence i suppose.
- How can someone fake 250k docs?abettertomorrow
- if you can fake 1 doc (which you can), all you need is time and people. not saying they are. Evidence is needed thougHombre_Lobo_2
- i think they are real but who knows what the intent of the people who leaked them wasDodecahedron
- Its easy to assume they were released in the name of transparency by honest whistle blowers but we can't tell they might have been leaked to change the subject on even more important infoDodecahedron
- might have been leaked by people trying to hide more important documents and info or start somethingDodecahedron
- exactly dodec! gotten consider intentions of all parties involved. be a fool not to question it.

I thought Der Spiegel has the best commentary on the situation
"It is now possible to view many political developments around the world through the lens of those who participated in those events. As such, our understanding of those events is deeply enriched. That alone is often enough to place transparency ahead of national regulations regarding confidentiality."

It's hard to believe in what you read anymore. I look at the motives of each nation first.

People in authority hate accountability and transparency, and that alone is reason enough to force it on them one way or another.

"China has signalled its readiness to accept Korean reunification and is privately distancing itself from the North Korean regime, according to leaked US embassy cables that reveal senior Beijing figures regard their official ally as a "spoiled child"."

In highly sensitive discussions in February this year, the-then South Korean vice-foreign minister, Chun Yung-woo, told a US ambassador, Kathleen Stephens, that younger generation Chinese Communist party leaders no longer regarded North Korea as a useful or reliable ally and would not risk renewed armed conflict on the peninsula, according to a secret cable to Washington.

"The United States sees the unauthorized disclosure of information by the whistleblower website Wikileaks as a crime but not "a terrorist act," US State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said on Monday."
FFS. How can releasing information even be considered as a "terrorist act" ... are we really that far gone?
