MOBO news/moments section->slowest UITableView i've witnessed in an app without crashing....(that could actually be considered a compliment)

also, showing an activity indicator before loading a new view and populating it with content makes the app feel real sluggish. touch feedback is key, if i press somewhere, i want to be taken to a new section, the content should load in subsequently.
- this will also place loading time blame on network issues rather than coding bugs.armsbottomer

The app actually has scripts throughout which detect the users' connection speed and performs tasks differently depending on what they're on. A lot of the loading issues mentioned above simply can't be helped - due to such differing connections speeds.
Point taken about the preloader - it could have been placed on the next screen to improve the usability.

not sure if you're doing any development on the app, but i'd load all the text in the cell first and the UIImage load in subsequently (and give it some sort of activity monitor). that way the core content is accessible immediately and the secondary data (images) are then loaded in. also, all the tableviews that use the cell from the news section seem to be really buggy, so i'd check out whats going on in when it gets loaded.

MOBO stands for Music of Black Origin
It's not actually a racist music event.
Just as the BBC Asian Network or shows etc are not racist.However ......
If there was to be a MOWO Awards
Or BBC White Network and ShowsThen that probably WOULD be deemed racist.
