I have two bottles of prohibition era rye that's like 80 or 90 years old, bottled in Canada. Cracked one over new years... best whiskey I've ever had. Green River for the win.

We had a whiskey night at work a couple of weeks ago. The 'aficionado' bought along a bottle of Glenmorangie and waxed lyrical about peaty whisky.
I bought a bottle of Oban and a bottle of Lagavulin. I was so desperate to punch him.
