Dunno, I think it's good they have some ideas that you can mould and rework. Better to have this at the beginning than after the first few rounds. Ultimately you can decide whether you want to do it or not.

at least they've put a bit of thought into it already- and they think they know what they want- better than spending hours on something only to have them tell you latter on "no- we were thinking more like this (pulls out napkin with layout)"
- mydo0
by design, they probably mean wireframe. which would render all these comments useless.
what a waste.
- How about learning the actual terms of their fucking jobPIZZA
- @mydo, I agree.monospaced

looks like the hard part is done. Just find a suitable template, add some decorative flourishes and call it a day. Check plz!

Paper design of the website, hahahah, your so fucked.
- cannonball19780
"We have the paper design of the website but we just need some help bringing it alive."
"No thank you. We do our own wireframes"
- 23kon0
Hey, as long as they have the PAPER MONEY to pay to bring it alive!

@BusterBoy
Your sarcasm started to ring true.... and then I realised the client shouldn't be worried at all about the look of anything, but rather about the results they want to achieve... a boost in sales etc.
How they get the result is our job.. not theirs.
It's like going to a Financial Planner and telling them you want this type of account with that type of loan, repaid in this way with these terms. It's just ass backward.

I hate clients who come to me with money and wanting things done to their specifications. I mean, who the fuck do they think they are? I should be telling them what they need goddamnit!
- so tell themPupsipu
- I love the sarcasm. So true.monospaced

I think it's the previsualization paradox and the ego protection at the same time.... clients don't really know what they want till they see it 70% done, then suddenly they realize they want something a bit different, and nobody wants to admit that they have only a vague idea....
- They kind of know what they don't want, but can't convey that to you, and only try after you already work your ass off.juhls

"Your designs were not quite right, I've mocked up how I think it should look by screen capturing your work and moving it about in Powerpoint"
Came close to walking out when working with that cunt, fucking social media experts
- they have no idea how insulting they sound.... do you re-arrange accountant spreadsheets?!?vaxorcist
- The worst part was he kicked off because I added lines that were in his "design" butPIZZA
- it turned out they were just artefacts from his screen capture, apart from one which wasn't. How the fuck I was supposed to know is anyones guessPIZZA
- supposed to know that without him telling me is anyones guessPIZZA
- pizzafire0
glue the paper to their screen. voila.

ItTango .. let them loose in gomockingbird.com. It could turn out to be a really constructive process.

I have a client run by father and son team. Industrial sector. Nearly every time I've met with them, they offer me a 500+ page catalog with about 20,000 products (or a PDF of it) and ask, "Can't we just put this up on the website?"
It's always fun.
- lukus_W0
I hate clients who want to micro-manage with an absolute passion. I despise it.
- monospaced0
I'm not joking when I say this. It's a good thing; not really a big deal. In fact, it's liberating because it allows you guys to actually design, not just build. No?
- boobs0
They obviously want Papervision.
