I was asked to help someone with a resume - the line of work is bartending. I figure this is a great opportunity to go outside the norm a be a little creative on the PDF version. anyone has seen any samples of such?

i used to work at a restaurant decades ago and there, we would like a clean simple resume. not one that was worked up to be graphically fancy. as a job seeker, i'l have to print a bunch to send and give out to my employers, so a cheap output would be awesome. i can't spend 99 cents for every color resume. black and white would be great.

wait till bar is really really busy, hand the manager a paper that says "i'm an experienced bartender- can start now" -make it in comic sans or papyrus. if needed, write on the back "can get references later if you want 'em"

If it's a dude make it clean simple.
We were actually talking to this young chap bartender at this new hip fancy bar this weekend. He had just moved here and said he hardly knew anyone. My wife asked how he got hooked up at such a cool place and he said he was 1 of 300 resumes. Most of them were out of work professionals that had bartended before they became professionals. Owners of the bar knew that once the economy picks up those kind of people are going to look elsewhere for a job.
