on a floating 'screen' floating about half a foot in front of your eyes that only you can see due the implants in your eyes and brains and fingers.

i predict QBN will challenge modern conventions and migrate to a daily print only version, and the public voice will be via snail mail correspondence only.
all of this will of course be irrelevant once the fleet of space dinosaurs arrive from neptune in about 3 months time.
all hail our new reptilian overlords.
- Not sure about overlords, but my landlord could be a dinosaur.maikel

I'll go out on a limb here and say QBN won't be accessible in 2020, not without a flux capacitor and a mr fusion. 2015 - just 5 years away, can't wait for one of those self drying jackets either!

How did we access it 10 years ago? 21 inch screens on G4s.
9-10 years from now? Guessing very thin 3d monitors (glasses not required) on very tinier SFF boxes. Wacom 7.

I doubt we'll be much further than well-developed pad/slate format touchscreen machines where reading-media is concerned. There's a lot to be said for an A4-esque book or magazine sized cm-thick piece of plastic mass.
The big thing I see with slates is their quantity - I can imagine having a desk with 4 or 5 slates on, each able to easily interconnect - with the ability to gesturally drag content from one to another. Would make PS / Web design interesting, for sure. Each would be equally functional, but user-defined - one is a control surface, another a keyboard, another a tools palette, another the working document, etc.
The bums amongst us will probably be using their big-ass tvs on the couch.
The more well off amongst us might be using their coffee table, and I can perhaps envisage some sort of voice/gesture-controlled room/wall projection system, but I doubt it.
