"100 mil in FB stock from a company which isn't publicly traded. so how are they supposed to cash in?"
"Now this was all fun and games until somebody promised the Newark schools $100 million in stock based on the fantasy valuation of his under-profiting company. But now it’s real. They’re selling the skin before they shot the bear or peeing their pants to get to the hut or whatever you want to call it. It’s just not good, alright?"
http://bit.ly/9QVdj7- There is grey market selling. He can sell to parties who want more ownership in FB before IPO. Not that mysterious.ETM

Making a donation now, at the time of the release of this film, surely has to be a cynical move?

I think the South Park episode will be more realistic.

He only donated the money to divert attention from how badly he was portrayed in this movie, it's painfully obvious.

It will be very interesting to see what impact hundreds of millions of people watching this film around the world will have on FB popularity.
I guess a few thousand will delete accounts, a few million will sign up and the remainder will mumble a collective 'meh...'
This, or FB has just peaked and will share the history of MySpace, Bebo, AOL and maybe even Compuserve.

I guess he doesn't think much of Facebook despite soundtracking the movie

I watched it last weekend it a packed house. Pretty amazing that a movie about a social network website can be #1 at the box office.
The movie was done very well and acted excellently, even the movie score was great. It did make me kinda feel like a douche-bag for having a FB account at one time, deleting my account then reopening it.
