Ive got this external backup drive for my macbook that I use for the time machine feature.
I plug this thing in all the time to let it just backup my files, usually takes about 10-15 minutes. Well for the very time in over 2 years, I decide to check the files on the drive, nothing on there after like august 2008.
What the hell has this been doing every time I plug it in, and how to I get this to work properly?

august 2008 is a long time ago... how much backup did you expect?

you've haven't peeked at the drive contents in two years? i'm sorry but that is kinda funny.
i'd start from scratch, assigning the drive via time machine and keep an eye on it at least for the first couple of times...
- Have not. Ill just start over with this stupid thing.CygnusZero4

eh? why start over? the you'll lose all your updates since aug 2008.

Dear Dr. Brown,
On the night you go back in time in the year 2008, your drive will be erased by terrorists. Please take whatever precautions to prevent this.
