Godaddy is good *cheap* hosting.
But i wouldn't say it's *good* hosting.

Issues I have with godaddy:
shared-server accounts are completely hit or miss. Sometimes your sites run faster than fast and sometimes the loads can exceed 15-30s.
Have had database issues, specifically MySQL, where the databases were hosted on servers that ran like molasses causing site content to load incredibly slow.
And the worst offender for godaddy - the competely unusable and cumbersome UI for their site. What a complete fucking mess. I would search alternatives based on that reason alone.
- should note i've never used anything other than their shared servers. I can't see myself using virtual or dedicated hosting ever with them.d_rek

Host where your market is.
If you really are down in Colombia and your customers are mainly there too - why would you go for a US-based host, which probably adds a significant delay to site's ping?

- i saved thousands of dollars a month when one of my sites jumped in popularity and switched to dreamhost. aus hosting was prohibitive at the timeephix

- Aye, sure - some local hosting is stupid-expensive. I host sites for the Iberian market here in UK for that reasondetritus
