you're confused.
"brand-name" does not = covered in logos.i buy prada because it fits well and lasts forever. i'd rather buy one pair of $375 jeans that last 5+ years than 5 pairs of mediocre $75 jeans.
learn a little about the industry before you lash out like a schoolgirl.

Are you serious?! Man I'm wearing like 75$ together, it fits very well and everything, except the sneakers, is already 3 years old!

just a guess, but i bet he'll agree that not all $75 jeans are mediocre, but that they certainly exist.
i bet he'd also agree that not all $375 jeans are worth the cost, even considering 'value' is subjective, yet there are jeans that expensive that are worth the cost.
that's teh way i see it. anyway, i think the point is a brand doesn't necessarity mean a logo or even an image. for me, it's a better fit, durability or with sportswear, better performance.

anyway, to me a brand whore is someone who wears ed hardy. that brand is designed specifically to sell a name and image and it doesn't try to hide that fact one bit. everything else listed in this thread is pretty modest in comparison.
