Kulör's (http://kulor.net) new site for Dazed & Confused has gone live, designed in collaboration with Mister (http://studiomister.com)

confusing.

The endless magically-appearing stuff as I scroll really doesn't work for me.

- why not?set
- Drives me nuts. To me it's not usable. When I think I reach the end of the page, I expect that to be the case.Continuity

messy

The internet sure is getting boring:(

What's quite noticeable is the lack of design.
- Creative Design. Sure that there's loads of UI, UX and all the techy stuff...clearThoughts
- clearThoughts that is such a stupid remark -SlashPeckham

could do with a squeak more structure, as it's a little hard to follow, me thinks - but the treatment is very nice.

i really like it. busy at first glance then makes perfect sense. the FB integration is well done too.

I like the scrolling content, it's not the best layout in the world, but there something organic about how it just feeds you the information. Nice
- callitropsis0
lacks any sort of theme or structure

Feels like a regurgitation of content. Not so sure what to do, so just click on whatever... probably the biggest image being a visual person.
After that I start reading but something moves and I click on that... suddenly I'm somewhere else and there's a pair of tits. Moving. Click on that. Oh, now I need to get my credit card out... oh, hold on.
That doesn't sound right... mmm...Maybe the future is the iPad after all. Apps will save us all!!!

i usually enjoy the infinite scroll sites that dynamically load content, but I think it's the floating load div on this one that makes it a little less appealing. would be nice if the thumbs just kept fading in below with out the load notification.
- kulor0
Ha ha that went down well. Onto the next one! ;-) Good luck folks.

Na don't listen to them, I think you tried something really ambitious and did it really well. The colour treatment is really good and I like the purposefully playfull messy structure of the design. It doesn't look cluttered to me. I want to explore the content.
Fresh!

i like it... i really like the endless loading... but agree with MrNibs that it should just fade up rather than have a "loading notification"...

Make up your minds on a fucken thumbnail size.

I hope I don't offend you, but I took the liberty of marking up your designs for some constructive criticism. I labeled each marks with a corresponding letter to coincide with my comments.
A - I don't care for the curved corners or gradients within the icon. I feel it doesn't unify with the rest of the nav which is flat with sharp squared corners. I also recommend scaling them down10%, and scaling up your logo Dazed Digital.
B - Bring up the Cyan box to line up vertically with left photo and title bread crumb. I think it would unify your piece better.
C - You're main nav is so grey, dull and depressing. That extra shit "Most Viewed, Latest Contributers, Latest Blog, ETC" is weighing heavy on your viewers.
D - The copy is small, and difficult to read. I recommend horizontally extending the center column to take up 3 / 5ths of your layout.
E - There's too much contrast through out the piece. I would change the opacity to roughly 30% to soften your layout. I think you're layout needs more transparencies throughout your fucken mess.
F - Rotate for better readability. Read more books on usability.
G - You're putting too much on your nav making it feel heavy and uncomfortable.
H - Take out the long awkward dash, and bring in your text so every lines up better.
- <good advices, follow thatshoto_can
- LOL - that's the most annoying thing you can do to a designer.clearThoughts
- There some valid points there on the layout.pillhead
- i would be glad if someone would critizise my stuff like that. Ita an honnor, take it!benfal99

would be nicer if the entire content wasnt all left justified.. why not use the full screen? or would that be considered copying the other sites that have been all doing all the same endless loading content?
the visual is nice, i wish the new content didnt make the visual jump.. is there a better way to have the new content blend in more or ghost in before it fully pops in?
i would rather see the negative space be used more wisely as i have a 27" plus 2 21" screen and your site was all tiny all the way to the left.. and i had all this white space doing nothing.. it dominated the content..
i left the site without even cliking on anything as the white space overwellemed the visual..
my 2¢
- i jsut read above that you arent even listening to the comments presented..e-pill
- i dont have a website for you to look at to compare my comment towards.. but please read it.e-pill
- some fundamentals are lacking in his designsblogger
- i am not a web designer or anything related to print or web.. so i wouldnt know..e-pill
- what are the fundamentals missing?e-pill
- unity, better alignment, a better us of ratios, better use of contrast, eye movementblogger
- areas of focus, emphasis, keeping the navigation simple, lining things upblogger
- ahh yes that is all true.. my eyes were bouncing too much so i closed the page..e-pill

It's another site.
Don't get feedback on QBN.

very confusing site, nice concept with the infinite scroll and wall of latest posts but needs some order or at least a tidier design to seperate things. It just looks like information overload!
