Helvetica/Free Sans Serif

Working in the corporate image from this association where I'm working.
I need a free sans serif to use instead of Helvetica, nothing to do with the logo.
For print and eventually for web.I'm already experimenting with Liberation, Deja Vu, PT Sans...
What can you recommend besides Helvetica?

If it's for their brand identity, so tell them to pony the hell up and pay for some decent fonts. You won't find something well-designed or very useful for free. You need a good workhorse type family, and those aren't free.
Seriously, if you don't want to pay for good type then just use something half decent which already comes on your computer, like Myriad Pro.

That's my best option so far, Myriad. I would like to have other option, but they don't want to invest in typefaces.
