I do some remote work for a company on a contract basis and now they are opening an office near where I live.
They are suggesting I put my own equipment/setup into the new office to work on. I'll still be contracting.
Sounds odd to me. Anyone ever been asked to supply their own kit to work in a company?
Cheers.

Nope because you are still contracting.
It is up to them to say if they want to provide you with equipment or not.

You have three choices:
1. Charge them a fee to rent your equipment (this works seldomly)
2. Tell them they need to purchase equipment if they want you in-house
3. Continue to work off-site on your equipmentThe company can't have it both ways.

sounds pretty common honestly. although you should be able to obtain all the newest software (CS5 Master Collection) on their dime.
