So shouldn't this be pretty easy?
Making an iPad App that is simply
a product catalog. Is there some software that can convert
a pdf to an iPad App to be downloaded
from iTunes?

Bit off topic so sorry, BUT...
I was incredibly pissed that I couldn't attach a PDF to an email natively on my iPhone today. First time I had tried or needed to. Any fuckin clue? I'm guessing (1) there's some dumbass reason for this, or (2) I'm just a dumbass...

iTunes Customer Reviews for:
Pottery Barn Catalog ViewerWhat's the point
by Erin1201
I don't understand what this is supposed to be. First of all, it's not even formatted for mobile viewing. Secondly, you cannot make purchases via the app. It is pointless. I'm surprised PB isn't a little more saavy with their app.-
Wondering why?
by PowerspongeDearest Pottery Barn,
Wondering why this app is getting poor ratings? Pixel Mags is awful, and requires signing up for an account to read anything. Seems to me that this is getting between you and your customers. People want convenience and simplicity. You'd do better offering your catalog in PDF format than forcing us to deal with Pixel Mags.-
Wow, it really is bad.
by SchnauziesLOLPottery Barn can usually be counted on as a source for quality and style; unfortunately, this clunky app has neither of those things. The touch controls don't work properly; my attempts at zooming on a page caused the app to crash repeatedly. It also only shows current issues of PB catalogs, which is a shame. I'd love a back issue archive and would totally get lost in that if it existed (and worked well/was responsive to its own established controls system). Better luck next time, PB!
