I've been offered one of these, brand new at half price. Should be £1100. It's a Pashley Moulton TSR8.
That got me thinking what other bikes are decent for £500. Any suggestions? I do like the Moulton at the moment though.

Also - would like a minivelo bike, the Japanese Bianchi / Dahon Smooth Hound are great, not in the UK though [Bianchi]

Just get a stock Bianchi Pista. Throw some brakes on it and a freewheel cog if you want. 5 hundo.

If you're not going to take the Mounton for 500 bucks I will. I think they are the best folding bikes.

yea the Moulton is favourite so far, I'm off today to have a ride on it. I really like Bianchis, just back from Berlin and it seems most of the Kreuzberg ride them! I prefer the Bianchi mini velos though, I'm not that into big bikes.
