I'm with you 404. Its good but not sure better than MW2.

I'm going against the grain here to say that I love the multiplayer maps. The maps are really busy and spread out, but in an improved way over MW2. I forget which map on BlackOps it is, maybe Cracked? - It's a huge map but lots of corners and interior building urban fighting. I think the graphics look great and I've really got no complaints, except for bullets that seem to bend around walls from angles that should be impossible.
- Shoot through about 6 feet of concrete, tooGordy22
- The graphics are shit. The maps are good but LOOK like shit.404NotFound

i'm liking it more and more.
i didn't think i was going to like the money thing. but, actually it's pretty nice. i don't have to wait forever to get the attachments and perks i want to use.

I been trying to reinstall my MW2 instead of this crap.

Magic - that's not really true - you still have to wait to even get the ability to buy it... (e.g. Commando you've to wait to lev. 44 to buy)

i like this one better then MW2. (tho, i understand the PC version is heavy on the system)
Black Ops seems to rely more on player skill than weapon force. i find myself more mindful of cover and bullet placement **plus finally they got all this sh*t tracked and now you can review bullet placement, map deaths and Kill/Death has become more important; overall a better experience for me.
team hardcore is a lot fun!
- My KDR so far is pretty much identical to MW2.404NotFound
- Play Splinter Cell for a bit, then play BO. The cover/hiding aspects of Splinter Cell help a bit when it comes tomg33
- your approach to finding cover in other games, do a degree.mg33

JSK! still no luck with that config??
my pc cant run Black ops, so im still sticking to mw2.
i dunno why they tried to improve the graphics, its the same engine, but runs look ass taking a much more powerful computer than it took to run mw2 and only looks marginally better.

at first i wasn't a fan of the big maps but they've quickly grown on me. playing ground war (my favorite) on the larger maps just feels right. in mw2 the maps were a bit tight for so many players and i'd always have 20-23 kdr because it was just so damn fast paced and tight. ever corner turned there'd by 2 guys waiting to pounce. in black ops the maps are so much larger it's really forced me to slow down my gameplay, find cover, check corners and move through the map searching for the idiots running full speed recklessly through the map. i don't kill as many but i find my games are in the 18-6 range now because i've slowed my play.
but i can only play up until about 10pm, then all the crazies come out and fuck everyone's shit up. the late night gang is just too good.
- Completely agree about slowing down gameplay - has helped a ton.duckseason

I always find that when I play around 7pm it's easier to get good stats. Probably because all the casual players log in and play a little game after supper.

^absolutely lajj. also late in the night i'll put half a clip into guys and still get my head blown off. watching the kill cam from their perspective it almost always shows me not even getting off a single shot. do these guys have faster connections or what? it always happens.
- most likely. whats great about being hose is that you see them before they see you. Kinda sucky but thats how it will always been unless everyone starts running more then just basic dsl or cable.BozMan

- My connection is shit all the time. Damn Verizon!404NotFound
- I'm running FiOS and I never have an issue. Did a speed test and I'm running above 25mbpsBozMan
- This happens a lot, and sometimes you have to remember that it also goes your way when you get a good 10-1 ratioFallowDeer
- TheMagicSheep0
haha thanks lajj. those first couple rounds were a bit out of control. i had a few rounds with a 7+ KDR.
i think something was wrong with the network last night. i got disconnected also. then, everyone on my friends list went offline right after it happened. probably for the best though, i had been playing for a really long time.
- same happened to me.meatball

Managed to go 20-1 on Nuke Town last night - was pretty happy with myself considering the rain of grenades and people always seeming to spawn right behind me.

I got it going
Still don't like it. It's super easy to kill. Weapons seem the same in it's category. I just spray and get a kill. Head shots everywhere. Feels like they dumbed the difficulty in killing someone

Had some fun on FFA
- 7 mins! this better be good boz :DHombre_Lobo_2

I had my first real session on this last night.
its feeling like people are starting to specialise now that the inital rush is wearing off.
Tracking people is easier too but sometimes it totally fails (or its me)
got some of my pro.
beginning to enjoy it.my only real gripe is that with anymore than 2 people in a party it kills the party 80% of the time... leading to epic frustration... I mean really? how long has live been out and how long has this been a problem....
- Stugoo0
got a nice 4 man first blood too. gunna post it once i edit it.

Bought this last night. My initial impress was this...
More of the same, although lacking a bit of the polish MW2 had. I'm very disappointed in the sound design in that I still can't hear a guy unloading his .50 cal less than 5 ft to the right of me. Sound design overall seems lot poorer, gunshots lack the crispness, depth and report of earlier games.
Also troubled why textures don't load immediately for me (on xb360) so that map textures and player models will run around for almost a full 5 seconds as blurry figures.
But... gameplay feels as good as it ever did. Action is still lightning fast. Multiplayer is as rewarding as it ever was and I like the new credit-based unlock system for attachments, etc. And I think the new maps are fantastic.
Overall I don't see it as anything groundbreaking but it's still damned fun.

- Treyarch is already developing a patch to fix the sound. A bunch of the developers tweeted this and are aware of the problem. I hate that I cant sound whore!BozMan
