Anyone have any nice examples of social media pushed on sites? Doesn't have to be anything ground breaking or spectacular... Just like to see how different sites do it.
SM logos along the footer... social media module... twitter feed... facebook friends... etc
Anything welcome!

Don't put a fucking digg button on it. No one ever clicks them and you would need about 100+ people to click it in one day to actually get anywhere on digg

When working at Absolute Radio I thought their social media tie-ins were pretty good. Some of their pages now are almost entirely populated by their audioBoo, Twitter e.t.c and they are heavy on sharing of content.

Also check the video section's sharing methods.
Something I find quite amusing is the tiny Facebook plugin on the right side of the homepage above the MPU. For a long while this was just an empty void where we couldn't fit anything in.

Question, I am trying to add your typical 'follow us' Facebook and Twitter icons/links on my WP blog. Any simple (moron-proof) way to do this?
I've done some research and found a way to add share/like buttons to individual posts but i want a main set of links always on the page kind of next to the navigation... please??

Huge social media icons are replacing client's "make the logo bigger" requests for me. I was working with a marketing person who asked me to move the global nav buttons somewhere else and put the facebook, twitter, and LinkedIn icons in their place.

A rss parser tool like magpie is the ideal tool so you can fetch the different rss's and have complete control of the look and modules to integrate into your website. Feedburner also a good tool to control and grab them all as a start-point...
or maybe you're just looking for visual examples?

as for sharing from your website, I'd google first to find the easiest solutions, as I only used "modified" plugins in wordpress till now.

Hey, I'm looking for good examples of social media feed pages, like MIT's (http://socialmediahub.mit.edu...
Not plugin or third party sites, but aggregator/feed pages integrated into the organization's site displaying the latest posts from their social channels.
