I want to develop a TV concept I have had for a while now, but not sure to go HTML or flash. I love the flash experience and being TV based it should be fluid and nice to interact with but with it not being able to be viewed on Iphone, Ipad is a real issue too. Anyone think Flash will ever reach these platforms or should I just screw it and go HTML?.

Screw it and go HTML

make the best site and consider how large a percentage your target audience will be on iPads.
If you build for mobile, don't dumb it down if most of your visitors will be on computers. And yes, HTML5 is dumber than Flash.

It's a channel purely for music. Guess I could see people viewing on mobile as they are traveling. Think I am going to have to find out more about HTML5 maybe this could ease the blow of a purely static click through site.

Good idea, could be an option. Maybe HTML first phase then develop Flash. It's a pain this Flash/HTML dispute with apple.

So wait this is video or just audio? HTML video is the way of the future I think, but I would go with Flash as the default option right now. Simply because IE doesn't support it yet (50-60% of web users).
Either way I would build most of the interface in HTML (HTML5 isn't all that relevant, we're just talking about some JS UI stuff probably) and then offer the video or audio part in either Flash or HTML5 depending on the client.

Just make sure your stuff is encoded in .mp4, which is a platform independent. Then build the interface in html and javascript/jqurey and do the video player either in flash and in HTML5 for those hipster idiots who use apple crap.
Problem solved.
