I have a 7d and am thinking about getting a T2i as 3rd camera for a video shoot. Anyone have experience matching footage from these 2 cameras?

Nope, but i have experience mixing 5d2 and 7D footage, goes well. T2i footage looks good, shouldn't be too much of a problem. You could do a test with the exact same color temperature - even equal models have subtle differences in color sometimes.

Thanks Jurre - Do you have a preference for video, the 7D or 5D2?

Go to vimeo and search for 7D and / or 5D

thats funny i was just trying to find out the pros and cons of the 7d vs 5d mkII
http://www.qbn.com/topics/602851…
im guessing the 5D mkII has slightly better low light video due to its full frame sensor, but i how noticeable this is, im unsure. most likely not worth the $1000 more for a 5d mkII. the crop factor is probably a more important factor than noise in video.

@nosaj
I think the h264 video is of similar quality. You do get different field of view and depth of field between crop (7d) and fullframe (5d2). One is not better than the other, it's just different. There is no videocamera under 150,000 dollars that has a full frame chip like the 5d2, but it's effect has been overused. Please don't shoot everything at 1.4 ;-) Noise performance at high iso is noticably better on the 5d2. I am very happy with it, but are also look to add a 550d/t2i as backup/second camera. Nice and small, and extra reach with the same lenses.
If you are interested if have a couple of video projects on my blog:

Jurre - both your work and blog are fantastic. I love the Moss the Comfort video and being able to see the storyboard and process behind it.
